FLOWERS: Classic White Boutonnieres

April 16, 2010

Personal flowers, are just that, PERSONAL, and should “suit” the wearer perfectly.  Particularly those worn by our beloved grooms!

We certainly have groom’s that request distinctly subtle and classically-inspired white boutonnieres that offer an elegant and tasteful accessory to their wedding day attire.  Most seem to be looking for refinement without severity, an effect achieved through modest and sophisticated blooms like orchids, stephanotis, roses and calla lilies.  Confidently understated, intrinsically beautiful, and completely devoid of any extraneous details that may prove “too frilly or feminine” for their personal taste.  However, there are grooms who bravely welcome the addition of crystals, pearls and feathers for a dramatic-yet-fashionable update to the already classic accessory.  Of course, there are those who choose to eliminate the boutonniere entirely, choosing a pocket square as their only adornment.   Besides the STUNNING bride at his side, of course!
