TASTE: A Food Tasting Isn’t Optional in Party Planning

Food is part of the entertainment…

One very important, and always challenging-but-exciting, aspect of what we do here at Evantine Design is menu design and planning. Each event we design and produce has unique requirements for food, beverage, display, and service. As a result, we are always looking to create the NEXT exciting food experience for our clients!

A food tasting that wowed…

To that end, earlier this week we were treated to an absolutely exquisite tasting, right here in our design studio. One of our favorite New York caterers created an open kitchen in our floral studio that gave us a chance to see all the culinary magic come to life as each plate was made. It also afforded us the opportunity to ask questions of the chef and culinary team. We are collaborating on many upcoming projects with this caterer in the 2017-2018 event season and it was great fun introducing them to our client in such an interactive fashion!

Only crumbs remained…

We took just a few photos of the food tasting as we were just too busy eating all the delicious food! But as you can see, the chef really pulled out all the tasty stops for us… {nom, nom, nom}

FLOWERS: The Design Studio is Awash in Spring Flowers!

April 9, 2014

Can you smell that? If only we could share the delicious, sweet perfumes wafting from these sensational Spring flowers!

Truly, nothing beats arriving to the floral studio, the heart of our 50,000 square foot design studio and warehouse, to see the floral boxes stacked high with gorgeous flowers. Seasonal flowers shipped in from local growers and from flower farms around the globe! It can take teams of our floral designers DAYS to process all of the flowers, freeing them from their cold, tissue-beds, and welcoming them into the warm water to stretch their stems. They will all be partying hard in some of the biggest ballrooms in Atlantic City! Every bucket of blue Hydrangea, green Viburnum, pink Parrot Tulips, purple Tulips, coral Peonies, purple Vanda orchids, green Ranunculus, yellow and red Parrot Tulips, white Calla Lilies, yellow Daffodils, red Double Tulips, white Casablanca Lilies, plum purple Sweet Peas, and purple Lisianthus will be displayed to perfection in tomorrow night’s corporate awards gala at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa. So many blooms, so little time…

ABOUT US: Behind the Scenes of a BUSY Weekend of Party Installation at Evantine Design

June 13, 2012

It definitely takes a village {and a really big warehouse of inventory} to pull off multiple large events in one weekend! We’re grateful to have both to play with on a regular basis… color us GRATEFUL.

REAL STORIES: An Outdoor Vintage-inspired Wedding at the Four Seasons Hotel in Philadelphia

December 2, 2011

Big thank you to wedding photographer Amie Schroeder for featuring one of our late Summer weddings on her blog!  Not once, but twice!  The vintage-inspired garden theme was a wonderful way to celebrate this wedding in the already-fabulously designed Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia.

One of our favorite designs we created for the event was this eye-catching twelve foot weathered table which greets guests as they arrived for the ceremony.  We covered the old farmhouse tables with a varied collection of salvaged bird cages, oxidized copper vessels, old leather boxes, wooden trays filled with moss or grass, recycled books, mini-chalkboard signs and groomed topiaries in terracotta pots.  The nooks and crannies of this collection were designed to showcase Diane Schaffer’s clever ceremony program that doubled as “place cards” as each program had a paper band that shared seating assignments.

Click here and here to see more photos of the event – from our whimsical bridal bouquet to the incredible French iron candelabra centerpieces used on some of the dinner tables in the hotel ballroom.
